When do apprenticeship applications open and close??

Applications for Levels 4, 5 and 6 apprenticeships are now open and will close after a minimum of 2 weeks. Level 3 apprenticeship applications will open in September 2021 to start in early 2022.

Please note: Some scheme applications close earlier than others due to demand.

How many roles can I apply for?

You can only apply for one apprenticeship scheme per year.

How old do I have to be to apply?

For our level 4-6 roles, you must be aged 18 years or over by September 2021. There is no upper age limit.

Where are the apprenticeship roles based?

All the apprenticeship roles are London based, with our main offices being in Southwark, North Greenwich, and Stratford. However, this depends on each role. Currently, many of our apprentices are working from home.

What education providers do TfL use?

This varies for each scheme and depends on the level of the apprenticeship role. Some of our education providers include Pearson College London, London Southbank University, and UCEM (University College of Estate Management).

What is the application process like?

  • Online Application
  • Situational Strengths Test
  • Video Interview – recorded responses
  • Assessment centre – varies by role but will include an interview, possibly a group task or a presentation. More details will be provided nearer the assessment centre date.

I live outside of London – can I still apply?

Yes, where you live is not considered in the application.

I am currently studying towards my A Levels or equivalent – can I still apply for an apprenticeship?

You can still apply for an apprenticeship only if you will have your needed qualifications by September 2021. The application process will allow you to input your predicted grades.

I have a degree – can I still apply for an apprenticeship?

You cannot apply for an apprenticeship that is related to your current degree (e.g. cannot apply for a Finance apprenticeship with a Finance degree). Otherwise, please have a look and apply for our graduate roles opening the week beginning 22nd February 2021.

If your degree is in a totally unrelated subject you can apply for an apprenticeship.
