How long: 2 years
What you’ll need:
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade A* – C or Grade 4 and above including Maths and English language plus 2 A-Levels in any subject at grade A* – D or equivalent
- You’ll be 18 years of age by 1 September 2019 to be eligible for this scheme

A role in Human Resources at TfL is all about the people that keep London moving. Your role will contribute towards ensuring we hire, develop and support the employees at the heart of our business, by making sure the right people, with the right experience and skills, are in the right jobs. Without this, we cannot continue to deliver our world class service.
You’ll learn how to support the core business in the delivery of generalist and specialist HR services.
What will I be doing?
Some of the placements you could complete are HR Services, HR Strategy, Employee Relations, People Management Analytics, Recruitment and Learning and Development.
You could gain experience in first line query management, rewards, pensions, strategic resourcing, diversity and inclusion and applying practical employment law knowledge to support our business to manage cases including discipline, grievance, and performance.
Where can this career take me?
You’ll gain a CIPD Level 5 in Applied Human Resources and become a CIPD associate member.
This foundation can lead to a role in employee case management, recruitment, learning and development, talent, diversity and inclusion, or business partnering depending on which areas you have developed interests in on the scheme.
