How long: 2 years
Salary: £19,663 (reviewed in line with London Living Wage)

What you’ll need:
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s A*-C or Grade 4 and above including Maths and English language or equivalent
- To be 18 years of age 1st September 2020 to be eligible for this scheme

Our Technology Service Operations team work across a range of technologies from coding languages such as python, Csharp, abap and lots of other exciting software. We use technology to improve the journeys of our customers, maximise the efficiency of our network and to extract insight from our data to enable us to make key business decisions.
We are always looking for ways to improve the service that we deliver to our customers. Whether that’s giving our front line staff iPads and building apps to manage their daily tasks to enabling Wi-Fi on our stations for the public to stay connected whilst they travel. Every single development and journey really does matter.
What will I be doing?
As an apprentice, your 2-year development programme will be made up of six or more placement rotations, for example:
- Asset Management
- Digital, Professional Services
You can be writing and editing work instructions for tasks in technical area and responding to and resolving incidents across a range of Professional Services. You will gain an understanding of managing physical SAP and cloud servers and you’ll learn basic Data Base Admin activities. There is flexibility for apprentices to tailor their scheme to their interests ensuring placements are taken within the Professional Services and London Underground & Rail teams. Our aim is to give you the skills and breadth of experience you need for your successful career.
Where can this career take me?
Upon successful completion of this scheme, you could roll-off into Application Engineer, Service Analyst and DevOps Junior Engineers which could lead to further career development opportunities such as DevOps Engineer roles, Second and Third Line Support Analysts and SAP Analysts to ultimately Senior Application Engineers and beyond.
